Email Marketing Industry Study 2017 - Digital Response and Adigital

Today we present the study we have just published together with Adigital: Research on the use and perception of email marketing in Spain 2017. Well, as its name suggests, it analyses the business landscape of the email marketing sector in 2017 in Spain. Here is a compilation of the most interesting data.

The study was carried out on the basis of a survey in which 737 companies have participated from more than 20 different sectors. The questions posed have been grouped into 2 main themes or blocks:

  • The first deals with issues relating to the tactics and strategies used in email marketing.
  • In the second, the respondent has been asked to rate the email marketing results and other more subjective aspects based on your experience..

To this end, the participants were asked about such relevant issues as the segmentation they use in their campaigns and the type of testing they carry out, how they do the email marketing managementwhat is the delivery frequency stipulated, what kind of programmes have implementedwhat is the budget actions carried out or what are the income obtained.

The study also includes an analysis of the main metrics of the sector: opening rate, click-through rate y conversion ratewhich have been compared with those obtained in 2016. In the graphs we can see how the great majority of companies have increased or maintained its metrics.

In short, the study is aimed at marketing professionals and is presented not only as a tool for comparing and analysing the different email marketing actions being carried out by Spanish companies, but also offers the opportunity to compare the results and conclusions drawn with those obtained in the last edition. All in all, it offers a very real snapshot of the state and evolution of email marketing.
