Globally, the daily average is approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes for smartphone users, according to <a title=\"https:\/\/backlinko.com\/smartphone-usage-statistics\" href=\"https:\/\/backlinko.com\/smartphone-usage-statistics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Backlinko<\/a>. However, in some countries, this time is much longer; in the United States, for example, considering the statistics of <a title=\"https:\/\/worldmetrics.org\/mobile-phone-use-statistics\/\" href=\"https:\/\/worldmetrics.org\/mobile-phone-use-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Worldmetrics<\/a>On average, users spend about 5.4 hours a day on their mobile devices.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On previous occasions in this <a title=\"https:\/\/www.digitalresponse.es\/blog\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalresponse.es\/en\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog<\/a>we have been able to see different topics related to Email Marketing. However, in this post, we are going to see how direct marketing in mobile applications allows brands to connect with their users in a personalised way and in real time. <br \/>We will look at the three main tools: push notifications, in-app messaging and the message centre, analysing how each can improve customer interaction and loyalty.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color: #0b4057;\"><strong>Types of messages in Direct Marketing for Apps<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Within mobile applications, there are three main messaging formats that brands can use to engage with users: <strong>Push<\/strong> <strong>notifications<\/strong>, <strong>In-App Messages<\/strong> y <strong>Message Center<\/strong>. Each of these formats offers specific advantages and particular functionalities:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 10px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color: #0b4057;\"><strong>Push notifications<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Push notifications are short messages that <strong>reach the user's device without the need for the user to be using the app at the time.<\/strong>. They can include text and images, and take the user to a URL or section of the app.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This format is ideal for <strong>urgent reminders<\/strong>such as abandoned cart recovery, limited promotions or personalised novelties.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 10px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitalresponse.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Captura-de-pantalla-2024-10-31-a-las-10.48.06-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color: #0b4057;\"><strong>In-App Messages<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In-App messages are displayed exclusively<strong> when the user is inside the application, providing a highly contextual experience.<\/strong>. These can be pop-up messages or small overlays on the interface.<br \/><br \/>These messages are used to guide the user in their navigation or to inform them about new functionalities or promotions.
